As part of his travel during his tenure as Eminent Scholar and Visiting Professor at Melbourne University and Macquarie University, Klaus F. Zimmermann (Co-Director of POP at UNU-MERIT & Maastricht University & President of the Global Labor Organization, GLO) has also visited Brisbane and spoke at the University of Queensland.
On November 30, 2017 Zimmermann gave a research seminar on “Arsenic Contamination of Drinking Water and Mental Health” in the Applied Economics Seminar Program of the School of Economics perfectly arranged by the Seminar Organizer, Rigissa Megalokonomou. Zimmermann interacted with a strong group of interested and competent applied development and labor economists and econometricians. He enjoyed and benefited from the discussions with Tina Rampino, Anton Pak and GLO Fellows Rigissa Megalokonomou, Jonas Fooken, Nancy Kong, Christiern Rose, and Haishan Yuan, among others.
